Imaobong, a Nigerian immigrant, was inspired by her mother’s love for traditional Nigerian fashion and the beautiful garments she had custom-made by seamstresses in their home state. Even after moving to the United States, her mother continued wearing traditional pieces and sharing the stories behind them. After her mother passed in 2024, Ima cofounded She’s IT to honor that legacy and connect customers with talented seamstresses in Nigeria to create custom clothing.
Being part of a custom clothing company is a privilege she has always wanted. She has always been the person who loves adding little details or taking things away to make something better for friends and family. They’ve never minded. In fact, they’ve always embraced that part of her. As they like to say, it’s never truly complete until Tera has added her touch.
